If you are looking for historic Old Hollywood dining, you have found the place. This place
has been here since 1949, and it has all the charm of that time you would expect. You can envision some of the Hollywood greats eating here. It's got so many different seating arrangements in the restaurant, any type of dining experience you are looking for is there. Quiet booths, open tables, bar seating, large dining tables, or balcony dining. It's all here! On this visit we decided to go with some Italian favorites. Why not? Firstly, Angie's Original Baked Lasagna. This was so very good. I can still taste it. A return visit for this particular dish is worth the trip. It was a generous portion and had all the flavor of a homemade dish. Secondly, the Sausage and Peppers. Now the most memorable Sausage and Pepper dish I have ever had was in New York's Little Italy. I wish I could remember the name of that restaurant. That dish stills lingers in my palate. Miceli's version was definitely did not reach that level, but was still very enjoyable. The sauce was flavorful enough, and the sausage was the same. In addition to our entrees we also tried the Fried Calamari, and the Antipasto salad. We loved the Fried Calamari. It was one of the best we have tried. Along with the Lasagna, the Calamari will definitely warrant a return visit. With all that said, we really enjoyed our visit to this restaurant. Outside of the great food, the waiters sing! They all switch off singing any number of songs. Some familiar Italian melody's, and some modern tunes. Either way, it's great entertainment while enjoying your meal. It's an very well rounded visit, food and entertainment.
