Claim Jumper - Northridge, CA

...a outing to a local restaurant during Covid.

The rate of infection has slowed in the County Of Los Angeles, where we live. So we were finally allowed to dine in as restaurants. Now this has some caveats. All waiting areas have to be limited in numbers of persons, not every table is occupied, and only disposable items are used on the tables. And... you do have to pay a 3% surcharge on your meal because of  the situation the restaurant is in.

So at this Claim Jumper as you can see from the photos every other table is blocked from seating. We did not have the usual salt and pepper shakers. No condiments of any kind. If you want anything of the sort you will get the small takeout types.  All wait staff had their mask/face shield combos along with gloves. This made us feel a bit safe to be inside this establishment.

We had a simple dinner. I had Tri Tip Steak meal and Philip had the Hamburger sliders. Honestly it really was not that great. I've had better here at Claim Jumper. Maybe it's the Pandemic. Perhaps they cannot get all the supplies they need for their recipe's?  Will we come back? Most probably yes. I have been coming this chain for years now.  I'm sure they will bounce back. Until the end of this Pandemic, I don't see us returning though.
