ABSOLUTELY A DELICIOUS APpVENTURE
Firstly, this place is humongous! This location use to be a sports store. Two levels with tons of space. Dave and Buster's use up ever inch of it. The bar is huge and awesome with it's TV's and many beers on tap.
Also, it has a massive game area. You name the electronic game, they probably have it. And of course the dining area is just as spacious. We decided to eat at the bar, honestly only out of convenience. We didn't want to wait for a table. This place is popular, and we were hungry. So we decided on two dishes. Shrimp w/ Pasta and the Ribs. The ribs were pretty good. They were tasty and tender. Nothing over the top like other places we have visited, but definitely worth ordering. It was a very generous portion. So generous we could not finish the meal (funny enough the guy sitting next to us asked if he could have our leftovers!). I really did enjoy the Shrimp w/ Pasta. I'm a big fan of pasta dishes. So big I gotta limit my intake. So when I order one I really hope for the best. This did not disappoint. The shrimp were so tender and fresh. That's important with seafood. And the pasta done just right. I'll definable order this again in the future!

This was a great find. Thanks Bunny! Our friend turned us onto this restaurant.
We love Thai Food, and this site does not disappoint. It all starts with the interior. With the light colors they use, it is so bright and airy. The dining area is not that large, but with the large windows and decor the place seems huge. When we decided on what to order, it was based on our favorites from other Thai establishments. We love a good Thai Barbecue Chicken. They did not disappoint. Not only was the presentation on point, the flavor was perfect. It was served tender, juicy, and most importantly HOT. So many times in restaurants you get your food lukewarm. This site has it down from grill to plate, to our table. Kudos! Another offering we tried was the Sweet Basil Eggplant with Shrimp. Again, thumbs up with the presentation. Great colors with the peppers to an otherwise dark dish. We loved this. The sauce was the best part of the dish. It brought all the ingredients together. And the shrimp, fresh and as you can see fairly sizable. I hate when you are served tiny cocktail shrimp within a shrimp dish like this. Pad Thai is known as a hearty and flavorful dish. Philip was impressed with this Pad Thai. He's a big fan of this noodle offering. Celadon has a great one here. We loved the generous portion and its authentic taste. Not to gush too much, be we would give this a 10 if pressed for a rating! You need to visit Celadon. The staff was friendly and very welcoming. If you ever find yourself in the area give it a try. We are always in the hunt for some good ribs. Lucille's does not disappoint.
This place is very homey. It's decor immediately gives you a feeling you are in someones home. It's inviting. I love the decor. After scouring the menu we decided on the BBQ Three meat combo. This comes with Ribs, Chicken, and Sausage. For an appetizer we had the Onion Straws. The Onion Straws were so crispy, with the right amount of saltiness. We really liked them. The meat combo was very generous. Honestly for the two of us it was too much. Gotta say, the BBQ sauce was so good. Tangy but sweet, and still a little spicy. Great combo of flavors. Tender is how we would describe the ribs. The meat literally was falling off the bone. One of the better rib places you could visit. Highly recommended for the ribs for sure. Now the chicken was just as good. The meat was tender, and very juicy. I just wish we could have finished the whole platter. But sometimes you gotta know when to stop. Finally the Sausage. I enjoyed this one. Philip is not a fan of sausages generally. So he left it mostly to me. It was as you would expect it to be with a BBQ dish. On the spicy side. Nothing over the top, but still a decent sausage. Next time we will have to try their desserts. Will we come back...? Definitely. Mostly for the Ribs, and hopefully save room for dessert :)~ What an experience!!!
We simply loved this restaurant. While dining here we sat in the patio, of sorts. It is still technically inside the casino, but with a patio outside the main dining area of the Grand Lux Cafe. This chain of dining establishments does not disappoint. Everything in this place is HUGE. The furnishing, ceiling, decor, and servings. It's all done big. And why not??? It's Vegas Baby! The food was so scrumptious. One of Philips fav's is fried calamari. Grand Lux has their version. Crispy is the way to go with this dish, and crispy it was. We are no fan of the tarter sauce, so it typically sits right where they put it. There was nothing left of this dish. That tells you what we thought of it. Since we are eating fried food, lets stay there. We then ordered the fried fish and chips. This is a dish we do not order too often, or hardly ever. The fries were not quite how we like them, not friend enough ;), but the fish was done so well. I imagine they used cod for the fish. This I assume because the fish was thick and flaky. It was really flavorful. Along with those fried dishes we also ordered the New York Steak w/ Eggs (fruit on the side). It was cooked as ordered, medium. Not the best steak I ever had, but was flavorful enough that I enjoyed it. This was a great experience at this location. Especially so because we shared it with family and friends. The service crew at the restaurant was simply amazing and very patient with us. We wanted to try the highlights on their menu, and they were patient enough to share their knowledge. Kudos to the staff of Grand Lux Palazzo! This has got to be one of the best diners we have ever been to. I lived in the East Coast for a few years, and they are big on diners. There are some really good ones there.
Brandon's has go to be hands down one of the best I have been to. I just wish we had taken more pictures of the place and the food. It was so good, we just dug in when it was put on the table! I'm a big Menudo fan, not the band, the food. Their Menudo, made fresh in house, was so dang good. As a Mexican I know good Menudo, this is one of the best out there. And of course they provide you with all the fixings you will need (onions, cilantro, crushed pepper, lemon, etc...). We also ordered the pancakes. Large and tasty. Almost like eating a dessert. Those also are highly recommended. And don't forget you coffee. They don't skip a beat here either. The service was amazing as well. I don't think my coffee cup ever got below 1/2 a cup. It was being endlessly poured. Cannot wait to go back. We will take more pictures then. We also had some eggs and hash browns, and Brandon's stayed on point with those as well! Market Broiler was a great visit. The location has a very airy and open feel. Because they have high ceilings and light colored furnishings, it makes the location seem very spacious and inviting.
We were hungry during this visit so we tried a few things. Since it's a seafood type restaurant, we went for what they are known for. As you can see from the images above, the food looks tasty. I think one of the best seafood dishes, done right, are mussels. Market Broiler did a great job with theirs. They were prepared with white wine. The mussels were very flavorful and tender. We loved them. For our meal we had the Blackened Cod, Shrimp Alfredo, and Crab Alfredo. The pasta was done as we like it, Al Dente'. The sea food with each dish had a very fresh taste to it. The cod was flaky and a generous portion. We are big crab fans. Love em'. That said, we really enjoyed the Crab Alfredo. It actually had some really nice chunks of crab in the dish. Although those got eaten up pretty quickly! :) This is defiantly a location we would recommend and go back to one day. |
