Caramelo Cafe was popularized by locals of La Puente who swore that this is the best tasting and affordable breakfast spot. The word quickly spread and this place has always been busy with a lot of people willing to risk waiting for an hour at times. Luckily, our APpventure was pleasant enough because we didn't have to wait that long for a table. We were quickly seated and our orders were swiftly taken and served. The experience is quite comparable to a Parisian breakfast where you can expect great tasting food that's full of freshness. Although this place is fairly small, the owner of Caramelo Cafe wishes to expand in order to accommodate and service the growing appetite of La Puente residents. This neighborhood is lucky to have a treasured spot that many can enjoy having a great APpventure. Caramelo Cafe 13857 Amar Rd La Puente, CA 91746 (626) 962-1400  Barkada is a Filipino-inspired restaurant with a club vibe that highlights the basic tradition of filipino dining and on certain nights, you'll enjoy the live entertainment. It exhibits the classic Filipino dishes with a modern twist and an excellent display of culinary art. The flavor of course is what you would expect at your Lola's (tagalog for grandma) dining table. During our visit to Barkada, we tried a few of their most popular dishes. We started with their Fried Chicken Wings with Adobo sauce and it was so delicious. This was truly a satisfying selection for starters. Their Shrimp Eggrolls and the Roasted Brussel Sprouts were equally tasty.
Drago Centro is an innovative and sophisticated restaurant located at the ground level of the City National Plaza in Downtown Los Angeles. They are one of the best restaurants in Downtown LA that is well known for their Italian dishes. Our APpventure group went to Drago to celebrate our friend's birthday. To our delight, we were all amazed by how gorgeous this restaurant look. They have an amazing display of their wine cellar that is kept in an all glass wall. The high ceiling gives the ambience a romantic feel and their lighting sets the tone for a welcoming dining APpventure. Of course, you can only expect excellence from Drago, which I can honestly say that they did not disappoint. In fact, they exceeded our expectation with their excellent service and amazing food. This place is great for all occasion and have been greatly recommended by many. And if you wish to experience greatness, try their famous Bistecca per due-ribeye, which in itself is an APpventure fit for a royalty dining experience.
