... another outdoor Covid dining experience.
So as our site name implies, we are AApventerous! We have visited this location before, and reported on it. We loved it.
During Covid when there are so many restrictions, we wondered how this restaurant was handling the whole dining outside concept. As you can see from the image above, we literally were placed on the sidewalk outside the front of the building. It was okay I guess, and we definitely had sufficient room from the nearest table.
Now the whole point of going to a Korean BBQ is to receive the meats uncooked, and cook them yourselves to your liking on your own grill. Well this is not an option here, at least not yet.
Firstly we ordered a tap beer. It came out in the usual pint glass, but it was soooo warm. Who serves warm beer? They were kind enough to replace it with a cold bottled beer, at no charge. I though that was great.
We ordered our usual meats (Short Ribs, Bulgogi, and beef brisket). Only when they came to the table they had been precooked before brought to us. Honestly the meats were too well done and mostly stuck to the grill. When we reordered the same meats, we had the same result. I'm sure like most restaurants these days, moving their whole operation outdoors is not an easy task. I do hope they will succeed in the coming months. If they continue like this, I doubt they will get many repeat customers. While we were there we saw more than one table unhappy with their food and/or service. Good luck GEN, you definitely need it.
