La Boqueria marketMercat de Sant Josep de la Boqueria or simply La Boqueria is a large market place that you will find along the La Rambla, which is a famous tree-lined pedestrian street. When you walk along the La Rambla, you will see a lot of cafes and souvenir kiosks. But what will really catch your eye is the busy and bustling La Boqueria. The beautiful and colorful variety of fruits, meats, cheeses, nuts and other unique food options will truly make your eyes, nose, ears and mouth salivate. You'll be amazed to know that this market place was first established in 1217. In the 1800s, La Boqueria was recognized formally and an official structure was built to house the merchants that sold a variety of unique flavors of food. We explored La Boqueria more closely and even enjoyed eating a seafood lunch feast. This was an APPventure that you will not want to miss out on when visiting Barcelona.
