boracay, philippinesBoracay island hopping tours offer an excellent way to explore the surrounding islands and are typically organized as half-day excursions lasting approximately 4–5 hours (often from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM). These tours visit a variety of popular destinations, including Puka Beach, Crocodile Island, and Crystal Cove, with opportunities to snorkel, relax on pristine beaches, and explore unique coastal landscapes. Guests can choose between shared (“joiner”) tours or private boat experiences, depending on their preference. Our experience with island hopping was outstanding. The itinerary was well-paced, offering a variety of activities that kept the experience engaging from start to finish. Whether relaxing on the beach, enjoying the scenery from the boat, or participating in activities such as snorkeling or cliff jumping, there was always something to do without ever feeling rushed. The crew was attentive, friendly, and readily available to assist with anything we needed. Their professionalism added to the overall enjoyment of the tour and helped create a seamless experience. One of the highlights was the lunch stop, where we disembarked on an island to enjoy a buffet-style meal. The food featured traditional Filipino dishes, offering a flavorful and satisfying dining experience with generous portions. These tours are scheduled during daylight hours rather than at sunset, allowing guests to fully participate in the various activities and appreciate the natural beauty of the surroundings. The islands themselves are truly remarkable, and having the opportunity to visit several of them in a single excursion made this experience especially memorable. Overall, the Boracay island hopping tour is a must-do activity, offering a perfect combination of adventure, relaxation, and scenic beauty.

loboc, bohol, philippinesThe Loboc River cruise was a truly enjoyable and culturally rich experience. The excursion takes place on a large, covered boat that travels along the scenic river, with a buffet centrally located and seating arranged around it. Guests are invited to enjoy an all-you-can-eat selection of traditional Filipino cuisine, including a variety of fish, fresh salads, tropical fruits, and desserts. Water and tea are included, while alcoholic beverages and cocktails are available for an additional charge. The experience begins at a well-organized terminal, similar in feel to an airport, where guests are directed to designated boarding gates for their respective boats. Once aboard, the approximately 90-minute cruise offers a relaxing journey through lush, picturesque surroundings. Entertainment is provided throughout the trip, with live music and a vocalist performing on board. Midway through the cruise, the boat makes a stop at a riverside dock, where local performers present traditional dances and music. This cultural showcase adds a meaningful and memorable dimension to the excursion. The combination of beautiful scenery, engaging entertainment, and high-quality food makes this cruise a standout activity. The staff were attentive and professional, contributing to an overall seamless and enjoyable experience. It is certainly an excursion well worth including in any visit to the region. lapu lapu - cebu, phillipinesSwimming with the whale sharks in Cebu was an unforgettable and truly unique experience. Being in the water just inches away from these gentle giants as they glided past us was both exhilarating and humbling. The excursion lasted approximately one hour, which provided more than enough time to fully enjoy and appreciate the encounter. The trip itself was very affordable and well worth the experience, making it an excellent day excursion for visitors to the area. Access to the beach was through a narrow alley lined with small shops and local dining options on either side, all of which were reasonably priced and added to the charm of the setting. It is important to note that opportunities to swim with whale sharks are becoming increasingly limited. Many locations around the world have discontinued these activities due to stricter enforcement of marine conservation regulations. This makes Cebu a particularly special destination for such an experience. Overall, this is a rare and memorable activity in a distinctive environment. For those considering it, it is an opportunity worth taking advantage of while it remains available. Navigator of the seasOur first experience aboard this Royal Caribbean cruise ship, Navigator of the Seas, exceeded expectations. The vessel itself was remarkably large and thoughtfully designed, offering an impressive range of amenities and activities. Even over the course of a four-day itinerary, it was clear that there was not enough time to fully explore everything the ship had to offer—something that certainly encourages a return visit. The overall dining experience was very good. Meals were consistently enjoyable, with a wide variety of options available throughout the ship. One standout was the specialty steakhouse, Chops Grille, where the quality of the food and preparation was exceptional. The steaks were cooked precisely as requested and the service matched the high standard of the cuisine. One area that could be improved was the breakfast buffet. While convenient, the selection and flavor did not always meet the same level of quality found in other dining venues on board. Entertainment was another highlight of the cruise. The ship offered a diverse lineup of shows, each well-produced and engaging. There was always something to do in the evenings, contributing to an overall lively and enjoyable atmosphere. In summary, this cruise provided a memorable and highly positive experience. With so much left to explore, I look forward to returning for a longer voyage in the future. |
