On Saturday, May 5th (Cinco de Mayo 2018), we boarded the fast and furious Catalina Express ferry boat from Long Beach, CA. This boat takes you to Catalina Island, which is approximately 22 miles from Long Beach and it quickly  takes you there in an hour. We suggest lining up early for the ride across the channel. Otherwise, you might end up in a middle seat or no seat at all.

​The boat ride was so fast that there was no time to get sick from motion sickness. There are 2 options to choose from when booking your reservations on this boat. You can either book a regular ticket for $36.75 per adult ($33.25 for seniors) or you can select to travel in style by choosing Commodore for $51.75 ($48.25 for seniors), which has upgraded amenities.
